Ahmed Shahabuddin (b.1950, Bangladesh), watercolour on paper, 29.5 x 19.5cm. From a private collection of his early work acquired directly from the artist in the mid 1980's, some pieces on whatever materials were available. Born in Dacca, the artist moved to Paris in 1974 to study Art, drawing inspiration from his experiences serving in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. His distinct minimalist style is influenced by movement and motion with the use of blank space and earthy tones.
