A Victorian Dutch silver peppermint box with engraved panelled design. Hinge lidded box with floral detail to lid and each side. Hallmarked with Dutch Minerva head mark, date letter for 1865, lion passant (with front paw lifted & No. 2) and indistinct makers mark. Approx. 4cm x 4.25cm x 3.5cm, weighs approx. 36.7g.
Hinge in good order and lid shuts firmly and tightly. No splits, significant dents or signs of repair to metal.
